Tuning ecosystems.
Amplifying innovation.
At Ovation, we turn entrepreneurial talent into concrete, lasting economic value. Combining our human presence in the field with the power of technology and AI, we structure companies so their impact holds and investment carries less risk, for public and private players alike.
// venture · support · transformIn the control room, putting creators in the spotlight.
Innovation is an essential answer to the challenges ahead, but it cannot be decreed: it has to be built. For an idea to become a real project, entrepreneurs and innovators are the indispensable creators at the heart of the process. Yet for them to succeed, their whole environment — companies, financing partners, support organisations and more — has to play the same score.
That is why Ovation takes a whole-system approach: we support creators directly in the field while equipping the entrepreneurial ecosystem around them. Building lasting economic value for companies and territories alike, alongside the people doing the venturing.
Ovation sets the stage and gives its clients the engineering, the pace and the method they need to design and run their own innovation programmes.
A story only holds if the ground backs it up.
We are after one thing: creating tipping points, those moments when a trajectory shifts and goes further, faster, or both.

An ecosystem only holds if its levels
know each other, talk, and build together.
Large companies, financial and public institutions, policy-makers, corporate governance. Those who create the conditions for success.
Open →Support organisations, coaches, local partners, middle managers. The connective tissue of the ecosystem.
Open →Entrepreneurs, project owners, operational teams. Those who do the work, and who already hold the answers.
Open →We work across all three levels, in a virtuous circle: an ecosystem becomes self-sustaining precisely because the layers interfere with and build on one another.

The questions we get most often.
What does Ovation actually do?
Ovation helps institutions, territories and companies design and run their own innovation and entrepreneurship programmes. In practice: ecosystem diagnostics, designing incubation and acceleration programmes, training local coaches, and connecting entrepreneurs to finance. The goal is that the dynamic keeps running without us once the assignment ends.
See the full offer →What is an entrepreneurial ecosystem?
An entrepreneurial ecosystem is the set of players that determine whether an entrepreneur succeeds or fails in a given territory: the entrepreneurs themselves, the organisations that support them (incubators, accelerators, coaches), the funders, and the institutions that set the framework. An ecosystem does not work because those players exist, but because they talk to each other and work together.
Understand the three levels →What is the difference between incubation and acceleration?
Incubation supports a project from the idea to its first sales: it validates that a market exists. Acceleration is for companies already trading, with established revenue, and works on specific growth levers over a short, intensive period. Incubation opens the funnel wide; acceleration concentrates resources on a small number of companies with high job-creation potential.
See the ecosystems offer →Which countries does Ovation work in?
Ovation works in 19 countries across three continents: Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The team operates from Belgium and works with coaches and partner organisations in every country of intervention. Its strongest presence is in Central and West Africa, East Africa, Belgium and the Middle East.
See the projects →Does Ovation work with private companies, or only with institutions?
Both. Ovation works with public institutions, territories and financing partners on structuring entrepreneurial ecosystems, and with private companies, from SMEs to large groups, on internal innovation: corporate incubators, internal accelerators, and co-creation sprints on their strategic challenges.
See the corporate offer →What is the middleground theory?
It is a model grounded in research (HEC Montréal) describing an innovation ecosystem in three levels. The upperground brings together institutions, large companies and funders, who create the conditions for success. The underground brings together entrepreneurs and project owners, who do the work. Between them, the middleground is the support space that circulates information and connects projects to resources. Ovation works across all three levels, with the middleground as its anchor point.
Understand the three levels →What are the Innovation Days?
The Innovation Days are an open innovation event designed by Ovation: a week combining a hackathon on the real challenges of partner organisations, a results day in front of decision-makers and investors, and a public demonstration forum. The format can be replicated in any sector and any territory. The 2025 Kinshasa edition drew more than 1,200 visitors.
Discover the format →How do I start a project with Ovation?
Every assignment starts with a conversation, then a diagnostic: Ovation does not sell an off-the-shelf programme. Write to ovation@ovation.eco or use the contact form on this site; the team replies within a few days and proposes a meeting if the project matches what it does well.
